Georgia gas prices see decline after record highs last year

by The 100 Companies

Georgia gas prices are on the decline from last year’s record highs averaging $4.49 per gallon for regular unleaded in June 2022.

Gas prices in the summer of 2022 were more than double what they were when President Biden was sworn into office. This led administration officials to quickly realize implementing their oil and gas policy changes would take longer than initially anticipated.

According to AAA, Georgia is currently around 27 cents below the national average, at $3.28 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline. The lower gas prices have been attributed to a stronger supply of oil and an inflation decrease.
