It’s the time of year when cities all over are hanging up their rainbow flags to support and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.
Atlanta has once again set an example for the rest of the South, ranking as one of LawnStarter’s top 10 most LGBTQ-friendly cities of 2022. Based on 19 indicators of an ideal LGBTQ community, including the equality index, share of same-sex households, presence of LGBTQ and support groups, Atlanta ranked No. 6 out of nearly 200 cities and one of only four southern cities to rank in the top 20.
Factors also included affordability, safety and access to LGBTQ-friendly healthcare.
