Is Georgia finally becoming more progressive? With the striking down of HB-757 and recently proposed brewery regulations, tides may be turning.
If the Georgia Department of Revenue’s proposed regulations pass, visitors could leave breweries with a six-pack of beer and distillers with a 750-milliliter liquor bottle. Brewers will also be able to sell tours at varying prices based upon the quality of beer visitors receive “for free” while on the tour. Rules could be implemented as early as May.
After the “brunch bill’s” death and tightening of Senate Bill 63, I won’t raise my glass quite yet.
