Autumn is my favorite time of year. The season inherently reflects who I am as a human: Like the leaves – that turn vibrant shades of amber and crimson before letting go – I strive to constantly evolve.
Some might say I’m in the fall of my life. As it’s not yet winter (literally or figuratively), I am choosing to embrace this time as a period of transition and awakening.
Did you know that hugging a tree (ideally for 21 seconds or more) releases oxytocin, the hormone of love and trust? Ditto for grounding. Give it a try, and see what happens.
