Last month, I was sad to hear that Son of a Bear, Oakhurst’s Korean tavern, was closing for good. I’m always on the hunt for delicious Korean food, and lucky for me, that same team didn’t wait long before opening Salaryman in the area just weeks later.
The restaurant is now serving up Japanese and Korean-inspired dishes including kimchi fried rice balls, beef kalbi jjim, tonkotsu ramen and more. It also has a full bar with signature cocktails and a sake-by-the-glass program.
My favorites of the night were the bibimbap (mixed rice dish with bulgogi beef) and the TKO cocktail.
