It’s not every restaurant that features food from a family farm. Jamie Durrence grew up on the farm in Glennville, Georgia, that supplies Angus beef served in the hamburgers at Public Kitchen & Bar where he is managing partner. Other menu items include lamb lollipops, Savannah shrimp and grits, tuna nicoise, cioppino and yellowfin tuna.
The restaurant, serving American cuisine, opened this week in part of the space formerly occupied by Twist. Creative Director Robby Perkins designed the mid-century modern interior.
Public doesn’t take reservations, but you can download the Nowait app to be notified when a table is ready.
