Music is important to me, my business, Georgia’s culture, quality of life and economy.
The Georgia Music and Theatre Jobs Recovery Act, or HB-1330, is at a critical juncture with only five legislative days left in this session. Representative Calvin Smyre (D) from Columbus sponsored the bill which has bipartisan support and is now in the Senate awaiting a hearing in Finance.
If passed as designed, this bill which amends the 2017 Georgia Music Investment Act, created by Georgia Music Partners, would give music the same opportunity to attract investment as film, TV, video game and post-production through tax credits.
