My friend, Tammy Hurt, received a Billboard Women in Music 2025 Executive nod. The prestigious annual event was established to recognize women in the music and entertainment industry making significant business contributions.
Hurt is based in Atlanta and is the Chair of the Recording Academy®’s Board of Trustees and the presiding officer of the Academy nationally – a position she’s held for four years. She is the first openly LGBTQIA+ officer in the Recording Academy’s (GRAMMYs) 67-year history. A force of nature, she works tirelessly to move the music community forward.
