Rudyard Kipling wrote his collection of stories about a man-cub abandoned in the jungle in 1894. The themes of abandonment, adaptation and finding one’s place in a strange environment are just as relevant today.
”The Jungle Book,” a one-act play with music, is being presented by The Alliance Theatre as part of its family series Feb 10 – March 4.
While the Alliance Theatre undergoes a year-long renovation, programming is being held at various venues around the city. “The Jungle Book” will be at Porter Sanford III Performing Arts and Community Center, a 500-seat theater in Decatur.
