Through Nov. 2, the “Kim Chong Hak, Painter of Seoraksan” exhibit is on view at Atlanta’s High Museum of Art, the first museum in the country to display the works of Korean painter Kim Chong Hak.
Featuring over 70 paintings, drawings and his personal collection of folk embroidery and carved wooden geese, the exhibition traces the artist’s shift from 1960s abstraction to expressive, emotion‑driven landscapes inspired by decades of living near Mount Seorak.
Curated by the High’s Michael Rooks, the show offers a vibrant exploration of seasonal cycles, nature and cultural identity. A national tour will follow the Atlanta debut.
