“Appropriate” Shocks, Stuns, Entertains

by

Finger pointing, accusations, yelling, slaps and headlocks are just part of the fun when the Lafayette siblings convene for the first time in 10 years to settle things after their father’s death. But it is funny, trust me.

Plenty of family secrets are revealed as well to the soundtrack of cicadas outside the crumbling Arkansas plantation in the play “Appropriate,” now making its Atlanta premiere at Actor’s Express. This Obie Award-winning play keeps you guessing at what the truth is. And for me, feeling thankful for wonderful siblings on both sides of our family.

“Appropriate” runs through November 20.
