Instagram Connecting Users With Mental Health Services

by admin

As more than 25% of U.S. adults suffer from a mental illness, it’s inevitable someone in your social network does too. Instagram is now leveraging its platform to help those suffering.

A new feature will allow users to anonymously flag a photo of someone they think needs help. The person who posted the photo will then receive a message.

It says, “Someone saw one of your posts and thinks you might be going through a difficult time. If you need support, we’d like to help.” The message also contains options to receive help with various mental illnesses and depression.
