Local Atlanta filmmakers Jon and Brantly Watts are on the rise. The couple runs the production company Half Pint Productions, are filmmakers in residence at the Atlanta Film Festival and host a curated series of short documentaries focused on Atlanta characters called Homespun.
Their filmmaking career started in 2012 with the Atlanta Film Festival breakout AKA Blondie, documenting the life and career of Atlanta’s iconic Clermont Lounge dancer, selling out two consecutive screenings.
The talented couple is at it again as their upcoming, Southern Gothic short film, Birthday Cake, was successfully funded on Indiegogo. The trailer can be seen here.
