The noise of Atlanta’s music scene

by The 100 Companies

Atlanta’s music scene is a melting pot of genres ranging from hip-hop, R&B, gospel, and country. Sometimes these tunes mix and create unique music that is proudly Atlanta. The 1980s were primetime of pop in Atlanta with bands like The Raves and The Producers. But by the mid-1990s, Atlanta’s hip-hop scene was generating a new wave of music, southern hip-hop, with artists like Outkast.

Today, Atlanta is known as the capital of hip-hop and dominates the charts. Artists like T.I. and Killer Mike give back to childhood communities and other philanthropies to inspire the next generation of young musicians.
