“Save the Fox” is 40!

by admin

Forty years ago, the once-glittering Fox Theatre was faced with the threat of demolition after it had fallen into a state of disarray. The city fought back against the potential loss and one of the most successful grassroots campaigns was born. Now, the “Fabulous Fox” is hosting a yearlong celebration in honor of the Save the Fox campaign anniversary.

A gala, block party and daylong showing of 40th anniversary movies with throwback pricing are just a few of the events scheduled. The theatre is also searching for “Fox Theatre’s Biggest Fan” through a Facebook contest. For up-to-date information, visit foxtheatre.org/fox-theatre-institute/.
