Twice a year, Georgia preservation enthusiasts flock to Georgia towns to tour historic homes, stroll scenic downtown streets, indulge in Southern food and toast during cocktail hours.
This year’s Georgia Trust Ramble, “Southern Flair with Presidential Charm,” will be held in charming Americus, Georgia October 10-12, featuring 30 historic sites. The first stop will showcase the picturesque town of Plains, home to Jimmy Carter, including stops at his campaign headquarters and Plains Historic Inn, where each room celebrates a decade of his life.
Attendees will also visit exquisite southern estates, historic theaters, restaurants and museums. Visit georgiatrust.org/historic_sites/rambles/fallitinerary.php for more information.
