The holidays are not only a time of giving, but also of remembrance and honor.
Each year on Dec. 19, Wreaths Across America aims to help people remember and honor veterans across the country by organizing wreaths to be placed on gravesites at cemeteries nationwide, including Georgia National Cemetery.
Currently, the organization seeks wreath sponsorships to ensure that hand-crafted all-American balsam wreaths, hand-tied with a red velvet bow, will be placed at participating locations to honor thousands of veterans.
There will be no public ceremony this year, however, a virtual ceremony will be posted on the website and social media.
