Atlanta entrepreneur aims to represent Black children through educational toys

by The 100 Companies

Atlanta entrepreneur Terri Nichelle-Bradley founded Brown Toy Box in 2017 as a STEAM kit (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics), created to help immerse kids in the learning experience and to feel personally represented as early as possible. Brown Toy Box is now a full-scale educational toy company showcasing Black and Brown characters while cultivating curiosity and passion.

Currently, Black professionals are represented in the STEM workforce by only 9%. To increase this percentage, Brown Toy Box represents children of color at an early age, as early exposure and representation have been found to inspire children to achieve their dreams.
