Diversity in public relations has been an issue ever since I started in the field 10 years ago. Surveys in 2013 found that though PR businesses hire more women than most, there is still vast room for improvement in employing minorities.
Organizations like the Black Public Relations Society of Atlanta (BPRSA) help fill this gap by giving voice to African American PR professionals and developing a new generation.
Led by some of Atlanta’s top African American PR talent, BPRSA holds regular meetings open to the Atlanta PR community. Last week, SPR Atlanta’s Chris Schroder spoke to BPRSA about content marketing.
