Who’s on the team?

by Sally Schroder

Managers have a lot to consider each day. Strategy. Tactics. Short-term goals. Long-term goals. Budgets. Performance reviews. Communication. Time allocation.

Yet nothing is more important than building the right team. Managers must have the right people with the right skills in the right positions. Oh, and those people have to want to be on that team. So cut through the daily clutter and take stock of your team. Good people? Got the right skills? In optimal positions? With the right attitude?

If not, change the roster quickly. The competition is tough. A good manager must field the best team possible.
