Based on a study by ProptechOS, Atlantans are now living in the smartest city in the United States. The city ranked No. 1 in ProptechOS’s 2025 Smart City Index, an annual list that determines which cities are the “smartest” based on factors like technology, infrastructure, sustainability, tech job market and more.
Atlanta’s connectivity and infrastructure scores outperformed those of every other U.S. city, and its tech job market score surpassed that of all except Washington, D.C.
Benefits for residents in cities that score high in these categories include improved public services, increased economic opportunities and reduced air pollution.
