When Fran and Michael Rickard, the mother-and-son duo behind Big Frog garment customization in Marietta, learned about the risks and “worst case scenarios” involved with opening up a franchise, it became clear the riskier move would be not to open one.
Michael was looking to begin his entrepreneurial career after college graduation. Fran was looking to gain control of her employment outside of the corporate world. For both, the intangible benefits matched the tangible (i.e. monetary) ones.
