Canterbury Court Turns 50

by admin

In 1965, the world’s population was only 3 billion people and The Sound of Music was becoming an instant classic. In Atlanta, All Saints’ and St. Luke’s Episcopal Churches partnered to open Canterbury Court, Atlanta’s first continuing care retirement community.

The world’s population has more than doubled, Jurassic World rules the box office and Canterbury Court has expanded to more than 11 acres of gardens, restaurants and other facilities to make residents feel right at home.

Canterbury’s 50th celebration will take place Thursday, June 25 and will feature an address by former Atlanta Mayor and Buckhead Coalition President Sam Massell.
