Placemaking Program poster

In early 2019, the Placemaking Program initiative was created. A partnership between The Trust for Public Land and Atlanta Department of City Planning, its primary goal is to redesign streets to be safer by engaging people through a creative and community-led process.

Community members are invited to submit locations for consideration. If selected, applicants will lead the design and public input processes for their projects and be responsible for getting community support. Teams are provided with design guidance, public meeting support, material purchases, help with obtaining permits and project installation.

For guidelines, review the program guide, and apply by March 29.
