Beginner’s guide to running

running beginners guide

Whether or not you’ve completed 5Ks or ultra marathons, everyone starts their running journey by saying, “I’m not a runner.” If you have running somewhere on your list of New Year’s resolutions or even life goals, it can be as easy as lacing up your shoes and hitting the road.

• Start by creating a goal. This could be competing in a 5K or the annual Peachtree Road Race.
• Get started on training today. If you can run a mile, go for it. If not, make that a new goal.
• Condition. Start slow for shorter distances and consistently continue to build.
