Pink Pigs return for the holidays

by The 100 Companies

Atlanta’s beloved Pink Pigs – Priscilla and Percival – are making headlines again this holiday season.

A Christmas tradition for over five generations, the original Pink Pig twin monorails debuted at Rich’s in the 1950s. Macy’s in Lenox Square resurrected the children’s train ride in 2003 before the Pink Pigs officially retired in 2021.

Residing at the Atlanta History Center ever since, last month organizers announced that Priscilla the Pig would come out of retirement to join the museum’s annual tree lighting ceremony Nov. 18.

The Pink Pigs will remain on display in the museum’s atrium to the delight of visitors throughout the holidays.
