Board game fun

I admit it. I hated playing board games growing up. Pull out Monopoly, and I disappeared.

Now, thanks to a few good friends (and cocktails), I can appreciate a game every so often. But instead of the traditional games, I prefer one of these fun, unique options:

Catan – If your super nerdy friends/family haven’t introduced you to this yet, you’re missing out.

•  Bananagrams – Not technically a “board” game, but it’s way better. Trust me.

•  Azul – Don’t be fooled by the intricate design. It’s easy and fun.

•  Ticket to Ride – Surprisingly entertaining game of long term strategy and short term tactics.
