SCAD students bring Atlanta’s top chefs to screen

by The 100 Companies

The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) has partnered with Atlanta’s public media outlet WABE to launch “chefATL,” a student-produced docuseries exploring Atlanta’s vibrant culinary scene. The series features local James Beard Award-winning chefs, including Steven Satterfield and Deborah VanTrece, and highlights the city’s diverse food culture.

More than 100 SCAD students across nine degree programs collaborated on the project, which was filmed at SCAD Film Studios in Midtown Atlanta. The second episode of “chefATL” premiered Feb. 5 at SCAD TVfest and is set to air on WABE TV in late spring 2025, with nationwide access via PBS Passport.
