Is Georgia on your mind because it’s always on the big screen? While our state has experienced a booming film industry lately, it has actually hosted film crews for decades.
With the new exhibition, “Georgia on My Screen: Jimmy Carter and the Rise of the Film Industry,” you can explore the state of Georgia’s film history, starting with its first film office, put in place by then-Gov. Jimmy Carter.
Located at The Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum, artifacts are featured from over 60 Georgia-filmed productions in the last 46 years, including hit movies and major TV series.
