You’re getting sleepy

Ever dealt with insomnia? I recently wrapped up a long run starting late last September and continuing through early January. I tried everything – melatonin, sleep medication, meditation, teas and more – nothing worked.

It’s incredible that the body even functions without sleep, but it does. Sleep plays an important role in overall health. Not only does it allow the body to heal and repair itself each day, it’s also time for the mind to explore, process and dream.

One day I finally slept for four hours. It was a miracle and afterward I felt different, like I had won a war.
