Have you ever taken the first bite of a delicious dish and thought “this needs more salt?” With no salt around, you’re left with a dish that’s okay, but could be so much better with a simple addition.
The Mazda6 is that dish. It’s economical, well-appointed, handsome and handles like a Mazda should, but a perceptible lack of power holds it back from brilliance. Its sprinkle of salt would be a turbocharger for ~50 more horsepower.
Though a B+ car in its own right, the Mazda6 doesn’t match the brilliance of the roomier Mazda CX-5 and zippier Mazda3.
