Infiniti’s newest coupe reminded me right away of an Aston Martin: ogle-worthy exterior, lavish cabin, plenty of brute force, and impeccable road manners. However, also like an Aston, curious shortcomings hold it back from perfection.
First, the infotainment system is head-scratchingly humdrum given Nissan put a far superior one in the Maxima. Second, the exquisite, 400-horsepower twin-turbo V-6 was paired with a clunky single-clutch transmission, like fitting Julio Jones with cheap Reeboks.
Still, the not-quite-perfect Q60 represents a huge win for Infiniti, and is worth a serious look for sports coupe shoppers.
