From their modest beginnings with a tent outside a skating rink in Cincinnati in 2009, Trew Quackenbush and Corey Ward have grown their tomato soup and grilled cheese concept into a multi-million dollar operation.
Tom + Chee recently opened a location on the Westside, and we had to check it out. You order at the counter, choosing from three kinds of tomato soup, salads, fancy grilled cheeses or build your own with additions like roasted meats, veggies, hummus and even potato chips.
For dessert, try the grilled cheese donuts, with combinations like the Bananarama with caramelized banana and smoked gouda.
