Atlanta’s Little Italy

by admin

Seems that Atlanta is getting its own version of a Little Italy on Hemphill Avenue on the Westside, dubbed Piazza San Gennaro.

Giovanni Di Palma wowed locals and visiting celebs alike with his authentic pizzas when he opened Antico Pizza. Next up was Gio’s Chicken with equally praise-worthy chickens and pastas. Slip through the back door of Gio’s and you’re in Caffè Gio, which serves salads, Italian paninis, coffees and gelato.

Across the street is an open-air limoncello bar, soon to be joined by the Italian market Luisa’s, which I’ve been told will open in the next week or two.
