Many environmental documentaries leave viewers feeling hopeless about the state of the earth. “Kiss the Ground,” a new documentary on Netflix narrated by Woody Harrelson, instead features interviews with farmers, scientists and activists to help educate on combating climate change and preserving the planet through regenerative farming.
Directors Joshua and Rebecca Tickell spent seven years researching and unpacking the science behind this method. The soil under our feet could solve the decreasing water supply, global warming, food shortages and the extinction of species.
The film explores the drastic levels to which the world’s soil has degraded, and it’s healing capabilities.
