History could be made this week with a shift of power in the White House back to Democrats. As polls closed, votes were tallied and results shared state-by-state, the close race has been a nail-biter that’s flip-flopped for days.
As I ate my feelings with chocolate peanut butter cup ice cream on election night, I scrolled social feeds and saw many doing the same – using food, beverage, friends and family to cope with the uncertainty ahead.
While some struggle with the results, what stood out to me were the close races and record numbers of voters coast-to-coast. Something has changed.
