May is Arts Month in Decatur and for the first time, the community can enjoy the Downtown Decatur Walk the Chalk on May 16 from 10AM-4PM, organized by chalk artist Jessi Queen. There will be three areas of chalk creations, a community competition, chalk artist invitational and kids’ area. Guests can also enjoy live music courtesy of DJ Kwasi.
Onlooking and participating alike are encouraged and welcomed. Participation costs $10 per square and includes individually bagged chalk. Masks are required for participants and social distancing will be observed. Registration to participate is required by Friday, May 14 at 5PM.
