From Atlanta staple to an Andy Warhol inspiration to American icon, the Coca-Cola bottle turns a century old this year. The High Museum of Art is inviting visitors to share a coke when “The Coca-Cola Bottle: An American Icon at 100” opens Saturday.
The exhibition, which runs through October 4 in the Anne Cox Chambers wing, will feature 15 Warhol pieces, more than 40 photographs inspired by or featuring the bottle, original design illustrations, historical artifacts and a look back of the transformation of the bottle.
Over 500 3-D printed bottles will be suspended from the ceiling in the lobby.
