The arts community has been hit hard as a result of the recent shutdowns. But Atlanta creatives are resilient and, although unable to gather in-person, many continue to press forward in new ways, including Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theatre.
The company recently announced its 2020-2021 Joy & Pain season, exploring the hurt and anguish of the Black experience while drawing strength and celebrating in those same moments. Through the introduction of digital programming, including #RealResponses, a weekly podcast and more, the theatre hopes to inspire individual responses and amplify voices.
