WIFTA (Women in Film & Television Atlanta) was founded in 1974, becoming the second Women in Film chapter. The nonprofit organization was founded the year before by Tichi Wilkerson, The Hollywood Reporter’s publisher.
With more than 40 chapters worldwide today, Women in Film has been supporting women in the entertainment industry for over 40 years. The Atlanta chapter supports females within all aspects of the film industry – including production and acting – through education, meetings and workshops, as well as mentorship, internship and scholarship programs.
