Eric Carle Retrospective at the High

by

The Very Hungry Caterpillar featured one character from our children’s books I could really relate to. However, I always hated the part when he turned into a big, fat caterpillar. Too much reality.

Fans of Eric Carle’s beloved books, which also include The Grouchy Ladybug and Friends, will enjoy a retrospective of his five decades of work, “I See a Story: The Art of Eric Carle,” at the High Museum of Art, April 2-January 8, 2017.

Along with the exhibition, the Alliance Theatre will present a world premiere musical, Pancakes, Pancakes!, May 31-July 10 based on his book.
