While studying abroad in Scotland in 2006, I may have drunk my weight in the malty cask ales that have been served in Edinburgh pubs for centuries. But when I returned last May, I was pleasantly surprised by the hoppy Punk IPA from BrewDog, a Scottish brewery founded in 2007.
I was even more surprised when I learned UK citizens could become BrewDog shareholders through a £25 million equity crowdfunding offering.
With a strong foothold in the UK market and changes in US crowdfunding laws, BrewDog is now launching a $25 million “Equity for Punks” campaign for their US launch.
