Every quarter for two years, Josh Rosenfield, lead assistant manager at Landmark’s Midtown Art Cinema, has conducted a cinema classics series.
Past series have featured films by celebrated directors such as Stanley Kubrick, Martin Scorsese, Alfred Hitchcock and Werner Herzog. The next series, Wim Wenders: Portraits Along the Road, kicks off January 26 with Alice in the Cities.
Screenings are presented Tuesdays at 7PM, most on 35mm film reels, and include introductions by film scholars and post-film Q&A sessions. With this series, Rosenfield has created a continuing education course of sorts for average moviegoers, film buffs, cinephiles and students alike.
