“Anyone who wears a tiara and sequins is always going to be the winner,” is one of the lines that had us laughing out loud at Horizon Theatre’s production of Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, winner of the 2013 Tony Award for Best Play.
Fans of Chekhov will enjoy the many tributes to the plays of the Russian playwright, but knowledge of his work is no prerequisite to enjoying this farce that includes sibling fights, a glamorous movie star and a boy toy who takes off his shirt. A lot.
Runs through June 28; tickets start at $25.
