AMA New Orleans hosted a virtual panel discussion highlighting the importance of incorporating diversity, equity and inclusion into one’s brand. DEI is more relevant now than ever, as Gen Z exemplifies much more passion for racial justice issues than generations before.
71 percent of Americans believe brands have a role in responding to the issue of police violence. 41 percent of Black Americans said they feel that brands do not understand their experience. Stats like these make it clear that brands are in the public eye when it comes to tackling today’s issues and have an obligation to respond suitably.
