Communication can be tough. With a team of many different personality types, it can be easy for someone to perceive things differently from the person sitting next to them.
One way companies combat this is administering personality tests, such as the classic Myers-Briggs or newly popular Enneagram, to help better understand employees and foster team building. Through workshops employees learn their types and create better functioning teams.
The Enneagram breaks everyone down into a number between 1 and 9 based on outlooks and motivations. Numbers provide an unbiased way of indicating a lot about a person without being disapproving.
