After months of rewording, deliberating and voting, Senate Bill 85 has finally passed, allowing Georgia to become a more competitive state in the nation’s craft beer industry. Instead of only being able to consume alcohol on-site as part of a tour, customers have more options, including to-go or single pints.
SB85 allows breweries to sell 3,000 barrels of beer and local distilleries can sell 500 barrels of spirits annually directly to customers to be consumed on-site. For off-site consumption, customers can buy up to a case of beer and three 750 ml bottles of liquor.
