Jack, the owner of Big Chandelier, needed to send four big chandeliers from Atlanta to Nashville. He posted his request on Roadie. They were safely delivered the next day.
This Atlanta-based app pairs drivers with people who need items moved. The drivers make money on their “gigs” and the senders have their items quickly and affordably delivered.
The sender posts the gig with details and photos, and drivers, called Roadies, select the ones they want based on price, location and ratings of the sender. They can make from $8 to $200 for a delivery. Items can be insured up to $10,000.
