Relationships Never End

This column has focused primarily on how to build and strengthen relationships, both personally and professionally. But what happens when those relationships come to an end?

Walking away from an opportunity, client or person is tough. No one wants to burn bridges or hurt anyone’s feelings, and breaking up is never easy.

But it’s important to remember that once a relationship has begun, it never ends. It simply changes. You’re in control of the future of your relationships. If a relationship doesn’t work out today, keep in mind you may have to depend on that person again in the future.
