Georgia Flexes Manufacturing Muscle

by admin

With access to bustling ports, the world’s busiest airport and a highly educated workforce, Georgia continues to attract global manufacturers. Manufacturing titans that include Caterpillar, Kia Motors and Lockheed Martin employ more than 355,000 workers and account for more than 90 percent of Georgia’s exported products.

Over the years, KBD Group has contributed significantly to Georgia’s manufacturing growth – building more than 1 million square feet of manufacturing space. ENR Southeast recently named KBD Group the No. 1 contractor for manufacturing facilities in the Southeast.

The state’s manufacturing sector took a hit during the Great Recession, but is now seeing a resurgence.
